Can I View God As A Motherly Figure?

In this episode Dr. Betters answers the question, "I grew up in a very abusive home. My father was a terrible man and has caused me great pain and suffering. My mother finally got the courage to leave him but the damage was already done. I am now in my 30’s and have recently begun attending church.
