What Is A "Valid Reason" To Leave A Church?

In this episode Dr. Betters answers the question, "I have grown up in the Catholic church my whole life here in Pennsylvania. Now with all the news around the abuse that has been taking place it just breaks my heart. I know that abuse can happen anywhere but my bigger issue is how they handled it and covered it up for so long. After 40+ years in the church I’m feeling like I need to leave and it makes me so sad. Is this a valid reason for leaving the church?"
