How Can We Save Our Loved Ones?

In this episode Dr. Betters answers the question, "Hi my brother grew up Christian, and went to college to be a pastor. During those years he struggled with alcoholism. He prayed to God to help him conquer that but he felt betrayed by God because he struggled with it for many more years and even gave up trying to preach. He now says that he doesn't even believe in God because if he really existed he would have taken that from him. He then takes it further and says he can't believe in a God who lets children and babies and even adults suffer, all the while keeping their neighbor safe. I am afraid to pray for patience. What should I do?
