I Have Celiac Disease, Do Dietary Laws Still Apply To Me?
In this episode Dr. Betters answers the question, "Dr. Betters, there are certain dietary laws, such as for Passover, when we are not to each leavened bread, but unleavened bread. My problem is that in April 2018 I was diagnosed with Celiac disease and cannot eat gluten, which includes all white flour and certain grains. Unleavened bread is normally not gluten-free, although there is one brand which does offer gluten-free flatbread. However, gluten-free flatbread is unacceptable for Passover according to many pastors whom I've asked. I find nothing specific about this. Would I still remain obedient to God's dietary laws for Passover if I eat gluten-free flatbread?"
