about this series
What often seem like mundane moments are often tiny stitches worked into a beautiful handcrafted tapestry. When we realize how each moment of our lives is part of a much bigger picture, we begin to see how God transforms seemingly insignificant events into a majestic portrait of His glory. In this series, Sharon Betters pulls from the archives of her Treasures of Encouragement blog. Each one reminds readers of how ordinary moments are treasures designed to help turn our hearts toward Jesus. From the mountains of Japan to the soccer fields of little grandchildren, each one is a memorial stone of God’s faithfulness. We hope Sharon’s thoughts will encourage you to view those seemingly mundane moments in your life as part of a bigger eternal journey where the Lord’s glory lights the way.

Sharon W. Betters is a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, pastor’s wife, and cofounder of MARKINC Ministries, where she is the Director of Resource Development. Sharon is the author of several books, including Treasures of Encouragement, Treasures in Darkness, and co-author with Susan Hunt of Aging with Grace. She is the co-host of the Help & Hope podcast and writes Daily Treasure, an online devotional.
We will start this series on Sunday, December 31st. We hope you will join us as we learn how to look for treasures along the way, and be intentional about writing in our journals in 2024!
