The sinner’s mind is renewed, his conviction about sin is real and his sorrow is genuine so that he consciously and voluntarily chooses to be converted. When regeneration occurs, we are adopted by God as His children. We become sons and daughters of the Father and are granted all of the rights, privileges and inheritance that has been granted to the son. Dr Betters encourages listeners to revel in the declaration of the Apostle John: How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! 1 John 3:1-2.
