In this episode, Dr. Betters answers the question, "My Son and I are former Mormons. He moved to Georgia and joined a phenomenal Baptist church there. My home is in Denver, CO. and after visiting him In Georgia on several occasions, I fell in love with this church. When I came home and then COVID hit all of us, I watched the Sunday sermons online every week and still do. My Son has passed away and I want to continue to watch this Pastor’s sermons in Georgia. Will continuing to watch online, but not be able to take communion, hinder my desire for my future in Heaven? Thank you for your response.”

I'm a Christian who attends an Evangelical church that has never preached on the 2nd Coming in the 50 years I've attended though they teach and preach the Gospel. They are not preaching the whole Word of God. I have friends there. Would it be wrong for me to split my time between this church and a more dynamic church that is not afraid to preach from I and II Thessalonians?"

I'm sure you are a busy man and I feel like you are directly talking to me like my grandfathers did before Christ brought them home. It has really brought some memories back to me. I have so many more questions to send to you in the future about scripture and personal experiences. If I may ask one more question, How do you know if God is calling you to preach? How do you know if you are getting called to ministry? If I may ask how did you know?"

Read MoreIn this episode, Dr. Betters answers the question, "D & K ask "Well, you got the gospel correct. Believe the gospel Jesus gave to Paul for us today to be saved by and put our trust in that alone saves us for all eternity. The gospel being that Jesus died, shedding His blood, was buried and rose from the dead for the forgiveness of our sins. But then you said we need to be water baptized. May I ask where you get that in the bible that we are making a "public" (though done in the privacy of a church). One question I have for you if I may? Paul (from who we only get our salvation message from) said there is one baptism. Eph 4:5. But also says the Spirit baptizes EVERY believer into the body of Christ. So which "one" is it: Baptized into water by a man? or Baptized into the body of Christ BY the Spirit, no water necessary? 1Cor 12:13 KJV For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. I guess one more question: How do you make 1 = 2?"

No one else was there. No church congregation, no family to witness it. They were in the desert. That's how easily you're "outward expression" is debunked, by simply using scripture to prove a man made doctrine wrong."

That's what I've grown up thinking. But I trust you Dr. Betters. You explain things so well. There's a lot of things in the CofC that I'm questioning lately. Not that they're wrong. But they're not necessary. Let me ask another question, what about communion? Are we to take it weekly?"

I truly want to live for Him and I know that He has a plan for me and He wants to use me for His glory. But I lost excitement for life, it surprises me but I no longer dream about my future family for example. I really trust God and put my future in Him but I really lost passion in life. I’d be thankful for your Help."

Read MoreIn this episode, Dr. Betters answers the question, "After our sins are washed away in baptism why do we all seem to be punished for sins we committed before coming to Christ? I traditionally tell people that what they are seeing isn't punishment it's actually part of suffering like what Paul went through after he done many of those same things to Christian's which was done to him. Jesus said come let me show you how much you must suffer. I tell them punishment for sin is hell nothing more nothing less. For sins after coming to faith in Christ we get chastening which hurts but again is not punishment or wrath. Am I correct or did I run in vain on that subject."

We left our church due to much conflicts within the church and members adding in rules and teachings that the bible doesn't support, I want to go to church with my daughter and husband again. It's been so hard finding a church with our beliefs, so many churches don't teach or follow what the bible instructs. Husband is no longer interested in going to a church with us because he doesn't believe they have the right doctrine. What can I do to help us hold on to our Christian beliefs without having a church that teaches the same ways? Is it a sin not to worship at a gathering place even if we still do from home? Thank you."
