EP 160 When God Hides Part 1 06-17

In the sermon When God Hides, Dr. Betters states that he wants his children and grandchildren to learn that life is not always fair and there will be people who mean them harm. But our God who, although at times seems distant, is keeping score and will weigh all matters in the balance. Psalm 10 frames the question we all ask when such unfair things happen, “Where is God?” We learn this is not a blasphemous question, driven by pain that is magnified when we think God is absent.
