EP 164 How to Worship Part 1 06-25

Are you tired of the music wars in churches? Of what value are they? In this message, Dr. Betters turns our attention to something far more eternal and states, “I want my children and my grandchildren to learn that the worship of God must never be approached casually and that true worship is the non-negotiable essence of their spiritual development in their relationship to God.” What is the heart of worship? In this three-part series, we learn that the ninety-fifth Psalm is one of a series of psalms which the Israelites sang together as they went up to the temple in Jerusalem to worship. This is a liturgical prophecy Psalm that starts with a call to worship sung outside the sanctuary, followed by acts of praise inside the sanctuary and then ends with a prophetic warning. This series of worship hymns and instructions begins with the ninety-third Psalm and concludes with the one hundredth Psalm. Each of these is a demonstration and exhortation on how to worship. Worship is more than ritual. It is a relationship that we must pass on to our children and grandchildren.
