War and the Family
This 2-part resource is designed to help families prepare for, and deal with the challenges of separation during war-time deployment.
In Part 1 one, Dr. Chuck Betters and his wife, Sharon, interview a husband and wife whose marriage was severely tested by stress of the husband’s deployment. During their frank discussion, listener becomes aware of the struggles on the home front as well as on the battlefield. Although these trials are difficult, they can be overcome. This interview prepares couples for that process.
Part 2 is an interview with a 20-plus year career officer. War-time deployment is examined from the perspective of the entire family. As Dr. Betters and Sharon interview this veteran of multiple deployments, his wife and their teenage daughter, the listener can gain keen insight on how to prepare for “War and the Family.”
