The Generosity That Comes from Your Faith
Dear Friends,
You are in for such a sweet treat! Our newest What She Said series is packed with beautiful scriptural truths and practical application designed to help turn our hearts toward Jesus and encourage and equip us to walk by faith.
Sue Tell starts us off, and I don’t know where to start in encouraging you to pay close attention to each one. Tears frequently filled my eyes as Sue’s words found the sweet spot in my own soul. Each one is packed with tender and piercing words.
In Monday’s devotional, Sue takes us into the heart of Peter and how, when Peter reached out to Jesus, His hand was right there.
Don’t miss Tuesday’s devotional, where Sue pulls our attention to the little book of Philemon. Sue writes:
“Paul's letter to Philemon, his family, and the church that meets in their home is motivated by a request, a hard request, an invitation to live out the theology they have embraced.
Paul was asking Philemon and the church to extend forgiveness to Onesimus.
Onesimus, one of Philemon’s former household slaves, had probably stolen money and/or property from Philemon and fled to Rome.
I think I know the memories and the emotions that Paul's request aroused.”
Oh friends, where is God inviting you — and me — to live out the theology we have embraced?
On Wednesday, Sue echoes what God has been telling me again and again — my role as a grandmother is different than when my kids were little — and perhaps that role is far more important than any of us realize.
I won’t give any more teasers except to say Sue’s writing invites us to see grace, mercy, and love, and the power of genuine rest. Sue transpa#5943A8rently shares from her own faith journey and calls back with the invitation to taste and see that our God is good.
Sue serves with her husband, Bill, on the Navigator staff among campus ministries across the US. Her love for connecting, listening, drinking coffee, mentoring, and teaching in small and large group settings comes through in her writing.

She also authored Well-Versed Kids, a Bible memory program for elementary aged children. The parent-teacher manuals are still available from her.
