What She Said!

Today’s Treasure
Dear Friends,
I’m so excited to bring you this series of What She Said! Your response to the summer series encouraged me to recruit six more guest writers. Each one brings a different style and personality but the same passion for offering help and hope through the truth of Scripture. This week our guest writer is Holly Mackle. You may know Holly through the website Engaging Motherhood or the book, Same Here, Sisterfriend, Mostly True Tales of Misadventures of Motherhood. Your family may have enjoyed reading her Advent devotional, Little Hearts, Prepare Him Room. In this week’s devotionals, reprinted with permission from Holly’s book Engaging Motherhood, Heart Preparation for a Holy Calling, Holly transparently touches the nerves of every woman, mother of littles or not.
Holly uses humor, real life stories, and Scripture to address worry, control, disengagement, fear, and God’s mercy.
“We need each other, friends. Let’s get to the business of loving our people well and letting them love us in return. In those moments of real connection, with sisterfriends, where each lays her heart bare and shows the messy-beautiful of what it looks like to live this mom-life with dependence on God, well, those are holy moments.” From Holly’s book: Same Here Sisterfirend, Page 238
You’re going to love walking with Holly this week! I guarantee it!
Treasured by Him,
Sharon
LIFE-GIVING ENCOURAGEMENT
