Interlock, Overlap and Fit Together

Today’s Treasure

As you come to Him, the living Stone – rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to Him – you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 2:4-5

Dear Friends,

I wish I could attend the Bible studies taught by this week’s Guest Writer, Paula Miles. I first heard Paula speak at a women’s conference. Her passion for God’s Word and encouraging women to find their hope and purpose in knowing Jesus captured my heart. I asked her to share that message through the Daily Treasure devotionals and she graciously agreed.

Paula weaves real life with solid biblical truth in a way that will challenge each of us to think a little more about where we are placing our hope, about the critical need to “interlock with God’s family” and to immerse ourselves in God’s Word. I especially love how Paula describes the way rock walls were built in biblical times. How the stones interlock, overlap, and fit together. Through her teaching, you will see how intentional Paul was in painting a picture of believers as living stones.

I am so grateful for women like Paula who take on the challenge of teaching and writing as a means to help us fall more in love with Jesus.

Treasured by Him,

Sharon

LIFE-GIVING ENCOURAGEMENT

Take some time to read and carefully consider the truths of Ephesians 2:21-22; I Peter 2:4-5. Ask the Lord to prepare your heart and mind to receive the scriptural truths in the Daily Treasure devotions this week. When you attend church today, be sensitive to those who need an extra touch. Make note of Scriptures and comments you recognize as treasures of encouragement sent to you by our Father today.
